Recently the board at CSS has been hard at work lobbying the ACT Government for more support for us and likeminded, sustainable, organisations. While this isn’t usually part of board duties, we feel it’s important to speak up for our grassroots groups to get a fair share of funding and resources.

Last month, board member Arian attended a meeting with ACT Environment Minister, Rebecca Vassarotti, along with several other concerned organisations. This month, board member Thea represented CSS at the ACT Legislative Assembly (again hosted by Minister Vassarotti) to continue to promote our values and views. We hope this will lead to support from the government in the future, which will benefit all our members.
